Policies, Services, and Rates
There are two options for in-person sessions.
See below for online sessions!
Option 1: Inside Office
Masks are required inside.
I see a number of people with compromised immune systems, so this requirement is to protect their health. Keep in mind that there are two cats who live with me and that there are stairs to go up to the therapy room and bathroom. I have wood floors.
Option 2: Front Porch
Masks are optional.
I will continue to wear a mask.
Wear comfortable clothing as you will keep them on during the session on the porch. For example gym shorts, tank top, sweat pants, loose-fitting shirt, etc.
The porch windows will be kept open and a fan will be kept on for circulation.
Rest assured, during the winter, a table warmer and electric blanket will be used to keep you comfortable. If the temperature dips below 10 degrees Fahrenheit, we'll reschedule the session. (Your therapist needs to be comfortable too!)
Hand sanitizer will be made available before and after the session.
Please call or text to cancel the appointment (late cancellation fees will be waived) if you have ANY of the following symptoms that you cannot attribute to another health condition:
Fever (100.4° or higher) or feeling feverish
A new cough
Shortness of breath
A new sore throat
New muscle aches
New loss of smell or taste
If you have any of these symptoms, please go see your health care provider.
For those who are self-isolating or don't want to risk going out, see below for my online options!

Many people have experienced how beneficial therapeutic bodywork is to their total health picture. What you may not be aware of is that unless massage therapy is considered to be for a medically related purpose, it is considered entertainment by the state of Minnesota and is therefore subject to sales and use tax. Some clients have voluntarily brought in referrals or recommendations from their physician or chiropractor that established the work they do with me is focused on a medically related condition. Previously I have absorbed the cost of the tax for those who have not had such a statement. As yet another layer of taxes has been levied, it seems that is time to require this notice, or ask that patients pay sales tax. With a statement from your physician, psychiatrist, chiropractor or dentist that the treatment you receive from me is beneficial to your health and/or relieves your pain level and improves your daily function, your treatments may be reimbursed from a prepaid medical plan when you submit this statement and receipt from me. Without this referral or recommendation, effective July 1, 2008 you will be charged for the cost of sales and use tax (8.025% of the cost). I am happy to explain the benefits of the treatments to the medical staff with which your work, and I have yet to experience a medical team that resisted writing such a recommendation. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions and/or concerns.
